“The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you. Don’t go back to sleep.”
– Rumi
My world has gotten smaller this month. I set out to honor and remember all the people I know who have been touched by breast cancer. Thank you for sharing your stories of you fight, or your family and friends struggles.

Stopped for a moment, and captured in a few more. These moments of beauty are what make life so wonderful. I notice them in kindness and sacrifice between my children, just for a moment something truly wonderful…On a long hike last summer my youngest complained she had really, cold, damp feet. It was before dawn, and her older sister sat down and offered to trade socks. “Mine are wool today, and they are still dry”. Trade. My older daughter put on the cold, thin, damp socks and kept hiking. It was a moment of beauty.
Please enjoy a celebration of pink paintings this month, in honor of breast cancer awareness. I paint for my friends and family who have fought the good fight against cancer, for their families, and for all caregivers who help along with the journey toward a healthy self (body, soul, and spirit). In my strokes of pink, are prayers of strength and heal

This tiny painting is my art equivalent of writing something important down on the back of an envelope so I don’t forget. It is a small note of beauty, and the importance of bees, and pollination.
