“Infuse your life with action. Don’t wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own love. And whatever your beliefs, honor your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but by doing what you can to make grace happen… yourself, right now, right down here on Earth.”
“Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
Ready to take action? My classes are filling quickly, so hurry and sign up.
Take your art skills and practice to a whole new level by taking one of my week or two week Ghost Ranch workshops. Follow in the footsteps of Georgia O’Keefe and walk and study in the painted desert. Ghost Ranch is a retreat center where you live on the ranch and meals are included and delicious, which frees your mind and schedule up to make art and new friends. Here are 7 weeks of classes to choose from:
Air-Immerse Yourself in Pastels, Two Weeks: March 28-April 10. Spring in the desert is a beautiful, quiet, contemplative time. These two weeks are filled with extras like: a spa trip to Ojo Caliente hot springs, guided hikes, and a day trip to Santa Fe. You can take either week separately, but two weeks will bring exponential growth to your art.
Summer at Ghost Ranch is a perfect place to take a family vacation. There are many amazing classes for adults (all kinds of art, outdoor adventure, spirituality, writing etc.). While parents are in class there is youth programming for kids ages 3 and up. Over the years my kids have: hiked canyons and mesas, made pottery and built a kiln, played games, gone kayaking and camping, and made friends that are as close as cousins. Here are my summer classes:
Paint the Painted Dert in Pastels (family week): June 26- July 1
Paint the Painted Desert in Oils: July 10- July 16
Paint the Painted Desert – Pastels: July 17 – July 23
Clouds of Dust 2D and 3D: July 24 – July 30 (painting and stone carving)
A Painting Sampler: Real Art for Non Artists: July 31 – August 6

I am a morning bird, perhaps that is why I love roosters so much. I love how they get up and announce the day, I have enjoyed doing that my whole life. I love the sunrise and the early morning light. I love the stillness before the world gets busy. My entire family gets up early, but you have to get up really early to beat me to my rooster suit.
