This is painted from a photo which was almost all green. I started with a complimentary color underpainting…all pink and red, and decided I liked the energy. I painted the figures so they become part of the background.

Oh wow! Fantastic! What did you use to draw in the fish line (besides a very steady hand)?
Thanks for your kind words. I put the fishing line in with the corner of a pastel stick, and a very light touch.
