“Be honest, be nice, be a flower not a weed.” –Aaron Neville
I love this quote. Be a flower not a weed! Who would deny the beauty of these Evening Primroses? Some people might call them weeds, I prefer the term “wildflowers”, and I delight in their wild, pink beauty! I am a firm believer that the difference between weed and plant is often one of marketing. Perhaps passing yourself off as flower, rather than weed is making people believe you belong, and that starts with deciding so yourself.
Please enjoy a celebration of pink paintings this month, in honor of breast cancer awareness. I paint for my friends and family who have fought the good fight against cancer, for their families, and for all caregivers who help along with the journey toward a healthy self (body, soul, and spirit). In my strokes of pink, are prayers of strength and healing.
