As I painted this I thought “Oh Texas, You should always dress in wildflowers. They are so becoming on you!”
💕 Please enjoy a celebration of pink paintings this month, in honor of breast cancer awareness. I paint for my friends and family who have fought the good fight against cancer, for their families, and for all caregivers who help along with the journey toward a healthy self (body, soul, and spirit). In my strokes of pink, are prayers of strength and healing.

My friend Jenny lost her mother to fucking awful breast cancer when she was 16 or 17. Shes had to deal with all sorts of ignorance and crazy from family during Covid and just got slammed back into reliving her mother’s death while at the bedside of her father in law for days while he does. It has been such a shifty year for her.
This painting felt like it just lifted a huge weight off of me when I saw it. I’m hoping it does the same for her.
I hope you all are doing well there. I’d love to hear your voice sometime.
